Rigourous audit and adherence to professional quality standards wins DMCC recognition
Tristar Group’s two warehouses located in the Jebel Ali Industrial Area were once again awarded the coveted 5-star rating by Dubai Multi Commodities Centre (DMCC).
“Our specialized warehousing facilities are designed to accommodate and handle dangerous and non-dangerous goods with stringent adherence to health, safety and environmental standards. The rating is also a sound testament to our best-in-class warehousing service for major oil companies,” said Shivananda Baikady, Tristar General Manager for Road Transport and Warehousing.
All types of warehouses can participate in the rating system as soon as they are registered on the DMCC Tradeflow service which is a dedicated flexible and customised online platform for registering possession and ownership of commodities stored in UAE-based storage facilities. Every year DMCC conducts an audit of the warehouses and based on their performance award them a rating.
The focus areas of the audit included statutory compliance, physical infrastructure, HSE systems, security, fire control, dangerous goods handling, inventory management, risk coverage, IT infrastructure, housekeeping, facility management, certifications, administration and performance measurement.
