Highly secure facility features temperature control and surveillance
Crown Fine Art, the global and comprehensive art logistics provider, has opened an advanced, highly secure facility in Dubai’s Jebel Ali Free Zone featuring first-class temperature control and 24-hour infra-red CCTV surveillance.
Crown Fine Art’s new warehouse will also be home to collections of the British auction house Christie’s, a key Crown customer.
Known for being the region’s preferred fine art logistics company, Crown Fine Art’s facilities are the best in the industry, exceeding the region’s strict security requirements and incorporating ‘best-in-class’ safety measures and access standards.
“With the extreme temperatures and humidity experienced in the Middle East, it is vital that client artworks are well protected. Our new warehouse facility is furnished with purpose-built racking, a viewing area and open spaces for large sculptures,” commented Gus Van Geijtenbeek, Regional Manager for Crown Fine Art, Dubai.
This facility will be Crown’s second in the region, and the free zone location means that duty and VAT is deferred on import – saving collectors who buy from auction and then ship to another country 5% VAT.
