Careem is adapting the business to effectively serve the communities
Careem has introduced its latest slew of safety measures to ensure the well-being of those who use the ‘Careem NOW’ service.
Ensuring the service is operating at the highest sanitary levels, ‘Careem NOW’ captains are equipped with masks, sanitisers and gloves to ensure strict handling of food and non-food orders. Delivery boxes are also regularly sanitised throughout the day, the company revealed in a press statement.
An option to ask the captain to leave the bag at the door is possible by simply communicating the request through the ‘instructions’ section within the app. Careem also encourages its customers to use cashless payment options, such as credit card or Careem wallet.
In order to further assist the community, Careem is offering a number of discount codes on food and non-food orders.
“Our thoughts go out to everyone impacted by the recent developments, and we remain at their service during these times. Careem’s mission is to simplify the lives of people and we are working around the clock to support our communities at these times,” commented Gheed El Makkaoui, General Manager, Careem UAE.
