New roll-out allows patients to connect live with doctors through VideoConferencing
UAE’s Medcare Hospitals & Medical Centres, has in collaboration with Cisco, recently announced the roll-out of its Tele-health technology that will give patients access to value-added videoconferencing health services on their laptops and mobile phones.
Collaborating with Cisco, a provider of IT and networking services, Medcare and Cisco have worked to combine health technology and the convenience of telemedicine. Designed to empower patients to take control of their health, Tele-health literally puts it in the hands of the people.
From video medical consultations to booking appointments and speaking directly with a number of specialist doctors to recommended care pathways, this platform delivers healthcare outside of traditional clinical facilities whilst also ensuring improved quality and better value healthcare and delivery across the UAE.
Medcare has identified best in class primary care doctors with years of private care experience to be part of the platform, and all doctors are fully qualified to diagnose a patient’s condition, recommend treatment plans, provide second opinions on previous diagnoses and give advice on prescription and non-prescription medications.
