New mobility solution targets to provide more charging stations for EV drivers
Electric vehicle (EV) drivers can soon recharge their car batteries at some of Bridgestone Middle East’s leading tyres retail centers in the region, the company has announced following the installation of a dedicated EV charging station at one of its flagship stores.
Bridgestone Middle East inaugurated its first EV charging station supplied by ABB located in its flagship store in Jebel Ali as a complimentary and valued-added service to its customers. The initiative is a pioneering move which has made the company the first in the industry to offer the sustainable mobility solutions in the Middle East and Africa markets.
“We believe that this is the future of mobility and these efforts are aimed at enhancing their driving experience, considering Bridgestone’s sustainability strategy, in line with its vision to maintain global leadership in providing advanced mobility solutions,” noted Stefano Sanchini, Regional Managing Director, Bridgestone Middle East.
Having more electric vehicle charging stations available for EV users are crucial to the success of sustainable transport as it will encourage more car owners to drive EVs when there is easy access to charging stations.
