Accord intended to green the desert
Abu Dhabi’s Mawarid Holding Investment (MHI) and Norway’s Desert Control recently signed a long-term cooperation agreement aimed at contributing to the greening of the desert and ensuring food security resources.
The deal also targets reducing the increasing demand for water, increasing the efficiency of environmentally friendly energy use, protecting the biodiversity of ecosystems, and improving the afforestation and cultivation system in the UAE and the region.
“All of these initiatives bring us one step closer to achieving the objective of securing a sustainable future for UAE in general and Abu Dhabi in particular,” affirmed Abdul Jalil Al Balouki, Chairman & Managing Director, MHI.
“MHI is driven to create value by learning about new innovations in sustainable practices and adopting them to reduce the dire impact on the environment,” asserted Eng. Ayman El Gayar, CEO, MHI.
“Liquid Nano Clay (LNC) technology is the latest addition to our arsenal since it enables us to save water, reduce fertilizers, improve desert soils, fight desertification and reduce costs,” observed Ole Kristian Sivertsen, CEO, Desert Control.
Furthermore by signing the Agreement with Agreement with Desert Control, we will have an excellent environmental impacts in UAE and a lot of countries in GCC and MENA region.
