Company veteran of 22 years appointed General Manager
Pirelli has appointed Alberico Avogadro as General Manager for the Middle East Market.
Avogadro is a 22-year Pirelli veteran with a career spanning the Benelux region, North-East Europe and Egypt in Marketing and Sales, and he will oversee the firm’s mission to roll out new customer-focused services in the key UAE Prestige and Premium segments across the region.
Pirelli recently opened its first flagship P ZERO ™ World in the region, in Dubai, only the fourth branch of the store, following the success of its stores in automotive powerhouses Munich, Los Angeles and Monte Carlo.
“I’m excited by the challenge that lies ahead. The Middle East market, particularly the UAE and GCC, is extremely competitive and requires very specific approach to engage our preferred audiences,” commented Avogadro on his appointment.
Avogadro will lead a team focused on developing new strategic partnerships and increasing brand recognition while strengthening Pirelli’s position as a regional market leader in the prestige segment where it currently has 50% OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) market share.
Prior to taking the reins in the Middle East, Avogadro, an Italian citizen, managed Pirelli’s Business Moto unit in the Asia-Pacific region.
