France tops countries for imports and Saudi Arabia for exports
Dubai’s foreign trade in perfumes and beauty products in 2017 was worth AED 20bn (US$ 5.40bn), with imports accounting for AED11.5bn (US$ 3.1bn), and exports and re-exports for AED 8.34bn (US$ 2.3bn).
The total volume of perfumes and beauty products traded reached 733,000 tons according to statistics recently released by Dubai Customs during Beautyworld Middle East 2018.
France topped the list of Dubai trade partners in perfumes and beauty products in 2017,with AED 2.7bn (US$ 740mn), while the USA’s trade with Dubai was worth AED1.4bn (US$ 380mn), followed by Italy in the third place with AED 1.1bn (US$ 300mn).
As for exports and re-exports Saudi Arabia was the top destination market with AED 1.1 billion (US$ 3000mn), followed by the USA-AED 855 mn (US$ 233mn) and Oman-AED 588 mn (US$ 161mn).
