E-retailer hires experienced professionals to consolidate and expand regional operations
elGrocer, the UAE’s grocery delivery startup, has recently appointed three top-level hires.
These are Raed Hafez, CEO; Tareq Abu Kaff, CTO and Xavi Nunes, CMO – to take the company to its next stage of growth. The three new members of the team join forces with Nader Amiri, founder of elGrocer, who will oversee operation excellence and strategy.
Since its establishment in 2015, elGrocer has grown 450 percent year on year and saw an astronomical 400 percent growth in demand during the period March – May during the peak lock-down period in UAE, the company stated in a press communique.
“The move will enable elGrocer to enable the brand to expand globally with its disruptive technology and partner engagement model. As markets continue to grow rapidly with vertical investment across the board, the future is bright for elGrocer and the time to put our plans into motion is now,” affirmed Nader Amiri, Founder, elGrocer.
Raed Hafez brings over 25 years of experience in managing large scale technology developments and leading large commercial operations.
Tareq Abu Kaff is tasked with transforming the marketplace tech operations in the retail and e-grocery segments, as well as integrate all platforms and retailers into a seamless eco-system, the press note continued.
Xavi Nunes has strong consumer know-how and years of experience with leading FMCG brands will leverage some of the newer models and metrics to raise the profile of elGrocer, the press statement concluded.
