Region’s premier event for retail innovation plans 2019 expanded edition
The recently concluded 2nd annual 2018 edition of Smart Stores Expo at Dubai’s World Trade Centre proved to be a bigger success than last year’s inaugural show with the event attracting hundreds of retail professionals, multiple services providers including experts from the logistics, supply chain, distribution, transportation and branding industry, manufacturers, buyers, and end-use operators.
The region’s premier event for retail innovation provided the platform for new collaborations, discussions and a vast showcase of the latest retail solutions and technologies in addition to insightful and informative presentations and panel discussions.
This year’s show, which carried the theme ‘Explore the Future of Smart Retail’, saw a good mix of attendees that included, government officials, private companies, business leaders, international delegates and top retails brands such as Union Co-op, Al Tayer, Landmark and Majid Al Futtaim.
The conferences featured the industry’s most dynamic speakers who inspired attendees to embrace new strategies and welcome disruption into their businesses in order to survive the ever-changing retail landscape.
“We are proud to have taken Smart Stores Expo up a notch higher this year and rightly address the need for industry players to push the boundaries and chart greater success with new business perspective and game-changing concepts,” observed Jayaraman Nair, Chairman of VIS Exhibitions, organisers of the event.
“Smart Stores Expo provided the most comprehensive opportunity for buyers and suppliers to meet at one event. It offers an inside look at technology and how it is at the core of providing customers a unique shopping experience,” noted Reshmi Raj, Managing Director, InfoQuest, a leading supplier of retail anti-theft systems, people counting solutions, RFID (radio frequency identification) and other retail technology solutions to some of the most prominent retail brands in the region.
