Gross revenue was US$ 253mn at the end of the third quarter of 2018
Top Qatar leading logistics provider GWC attained a net profit of QR 173.91mn (US$ 47.77mn) for the third quarter of this year, a 10% growth compared to QR157.26 million for the same period in 2017.
Gross revenue was QR 920.83mn (US$ 253mn) at the end of the third quarter of 2018. Earnings per share increased to QR2.97 (US$ 0.82) at the end of the third quarter of 2018, a 10% rise from QR2.68 during the same period in 2017.
“The company continues to register growth year after year due to its ability to adapt and provide for the nation’s needs, which are particularly great as the nation concludes the first year of the Second National Development Strategy, and as projects propel forward in the years leading up to the Fifa World Cup 2022,” stated GWC Chairman Sheikh Abdullah Bin Fahad Bin Jassem Bin Jabor Al Thani.
The company attributed the surge in growth to increased activity for its freight solutions and contract logistics services offered at the Logistics Village Qatar (LVQ), the GWC Bu Sulba Warehousing Park, and the Bu Fasseela Warehousing Park, all part of its 3 million sqm. of logistics infrastructure in the country.
