MARSA App to Improve Vessel Service Management for vessels at Abu Dhabi Ports
Maqta Gateway, an Abu Dhabi Ports company, announced at GITEX the development of a new mobile and web-based App designed to enhance marine traffic and vessel servicing.
MARSA, of which Abu Dhabi Marine Services (SAFEEN) and the Harbour Master of Abu Dhabi Ports will be key users, is a fully integrated app intended to simplify, streamline and speed up elements of port services, such as Vessel approval to enter Abu Dhabi waters.
It will facilitate real-time monitoring of marine traffic, enhance the process work flow of services related to vessel and ports and eliminate the need of manual paperwork by covering processes using electronic data.
The app also enables users and customers to monitor the real-time operational status. It also provides access to various statistical and management reports to allow better visibility and control of port operations.
The app’s Vessel Registration module is designed to provide full mobile compatible view to enable Harbour Master to monitor the vessel registration requests and status at any given time which ultimately improves the response time.
“The intelligently designed features of the app will mean lower costs, reduced manpower requirements, quicker response times and smoother, more efficient daily operations for all port users, resulting in an improved operating environment for us all,” affirmed Dr. Noura Al Dhaheri, CEO, Maqta Gateway.
The MARSA App is currently in the pilot phase and is expected to be rolled out commercially towards the end of the year.
