NMES to provide maintenance solutions for Middle East power and water plants
ACWA Power, a Saudi leader in the sectors of water desalination and conventional and renewable power generation worldwide, and its Operations and Maintenance arm, The First National Operation & Maintenance Co. (NOMAC), are expanding and fortifying their presence in the power and water market through a newly established entity.
NOMAC Maintenance Energy Services (NMES) specialises in deploying and providing technologically advanced maintenance solutions for power generation and water desalination plants. The launch of NMES is in line with ACWA Power and NOMAC’s expansion and growth plan within these two sectors in the region.
NMES will benefit from and feed on the in-depth knowledge derived from ACWA Power and NOMAC’s expertise in operating and maintaining energy and water desalination plants in the region.
The launch took place at NMES’ new facility in Dubai, in the presence of over 200 stakeholders attending on behalf of Saudi Arabian and UAE utility companies
“This accomplishment is not only a testament of our local and international expertise in power generation and water desalination, it also showcases our knowledge in operating and maintaining large scale projects at the highest levels of efficiency and quality,” remarked Eng. Thamer Al Sharhan, Chairman, NOMAC and Managing Director, ACWA Power.
“NMES offers world-class services to plants, effectively supporting the power & water, oil & gas and mining industries. As testament to our strong offering, NMES partnered with Siemens to manage one of the world’s largest outages for F class gas turbines,” said Harald Schmit, VP-Field Services and NMES Business Leader, NOMAC.
