German manufacturing sites run adjusted production schedules and set ups to ensure strict hygiene and safety measures
GROHE, the global brand for full bathroom solutions and kitchen fittings, has implemented a next step in taking action to protect its employees across the European manufacturing sites.
For its three German manufacturing sites, production schedules and set ups were adjusted to implement the latest official recommendations and guidelines with regards to hygiene measures and safety of its staff.
Production in Albergaria, Portugal, will be suspended until further notification. Besides the European plants the manufacturing site in Klaeng, Thailand, also follows strict procedures such as temperature controls to ensure strongly increased hygiene standards and safety for employees.
Together with its business partners, the GROHE brand is closely working on managing stock and service levels across the EMENA region, taking into account the circumstances and requirements of individual markets.
“With the spread of Covid-19 we witness an unprecedented situation, across the globe. Given the overall dynamics, we have constantly evaluated the rapidly changing circumstances early on to determine necessary actions,” remarked Thomas Fuhr, COO, Fittings LIXIL International and CEO Grohe AG.
