Sharjah-based Hilali unveils the BRAX disinfectant
Sharjah, UAE-based Hilali Light Industries recently revealed its success in developing a new disinfectant with an advanced formula that helps combat the new coronavirus (Covid-19) by 99.9%, the manufacturer disclosed in a press statement.
BRAX is the name of the new product which is approved by Dubai Municipality after its conformity to the requirements, standards, and conditions of quality and efficiency approved in the UAE.
Dubai Municipality-authorized labs have proven that BRAX can kill viruses and germs very efficiently, and it is suitable for use in sterilizing and disinfecting surfaces, hospitals, offices, buildings, and streets, the press note continued.
BRAX is a powerful disinfectant and detergent as it contains quaternary ammonium derivatives that help dismantle the cell wall of germs and viruses, including Covid-19 and also the highly effective oxychlorine compounds which are able to kill a wide spectrum of bacteria and viruses.
The newly developed product underlines the efficiency and capability of local products to compete with the best foreign products, especially in the sterilization and cleaning field.
Engineer Talal Al-Hilali, Managing Director, Hilali Co., explained that the outbreak of Covid-19 led to the increasing demand for hand sanitizers and disinfectants, pointing out that the company’s production capacity reached 50 tons per day.
Established in 1977, the Hilali company is engaged in manufacturing sterilizers, disinfectants, detergents, perfumes, sponges, and plastics.
