The Jiangsu Baoying Industrial Park is equipped with advanced smart logistics sorting technologies
J&T Global Express Limited has announced the official opening of Jiangsu Baoying Industrial Park on 11 October 2024.
Located in Yangzhou City, Jiangsu Province, this smart supply chain industrial park marks the company’s first transportation hub in China built on its own purchased land, with a total investment of RMB 1.5 billion. Spanning 150,000sqm, the new facility can process up to 6mn parcels per day at peak capacity, ensuring strong logistics support ahead of the upcoming “Double 11” shopping festival.
Since entering the Chinese market, J&T Express has steadily increased its investment in logistics infrastructure. The company has focused on establishing self-operated hubs at key transportation hubs to strengthen its overall service capabilities.
The Jiangsu Baoying Industrial Park is equipped with advanced smart logistics sorting technologies, including cross-belt sorters for inbound and outbound shipments, tilt-tray sorters, high-speed unloading wheels, smart scanners, and security inspection machines. These automated systems, driven by precise smart identification, significantly reduce sorting errors and shorten transit times, enhancing both efficiency and customer experience in the region.
Cloud-based warehousing
As a regional hub, the park also features over 40,000sqm of cloud-based warehousing, offering customized supply chain solutions for e-commerce clients, including warehouse management, drop shipping, and return logistics. This fosters seamless and efficient collaboration across the supply chain.
J&T Express is also committed to advancing green logistics. The Jiangsu Baoying Industrial Park is outfitted with solar panels covering 54,500sqm expected to generate over 7.1mn kWh of electricity annually.
This will reduce carbon emissions by 5,584 tons per year, equivalent to the carbon absorption of approximately 550,000 trees, contributing to the global effort to combat climate change, a press statement concluded.
