Kingdom’s largest fast-food chain to drive operational excellence and innovation
Herfy Food Services Company (Herfy), Saudi Arabia’s largest fast-food chain, has signed an agreement with SAP at the recently concluded LEAP 2025 in Riyadh to adopt RISE with SAP Premium Edition hosted on Google Cloud’s local data centers.
The move marks a significant step in Herfy’s digital transformation journey, aligning with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 and reinforcing its commitment to operational excellence and innovation.
Established in 1981, Herfy operates over 380 restaurants nationwide and is a leading producer and distributor of food products in Saudi Arabia. The company’s transition from on-premise ERP to a cloud-based solution reflects its ambition to pioneer local industry advancements.
By hosting its data on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) in Saudi Arabia, Herfy ensures adherence to national data security policies while optimizing business processes for agility and resilience.
Seamless cloud transformation
“With RISE with SAP Premium Edition, we are embarking on a seamless cloud transformation that not only secures our data within Saudi Arabia but also enables 360-degree visibility over all operations, real-time analytics, AI-driven insights, and automation to drive smarter decision-making,” observed Mohammad Al Barghouthi, CEO, Herfy.
Herfy selected RISE with SAP Premium Edition for its ability to provide a cost-efficient, scalable, and future-ready digital core. The ‘lift and shift’ migration will ensure a smooth transition without data loss, while removing redundancy in application development, according to a press communication.
“Herfy’s adoption of RISE with SAP Premium Edition is a testament to its forward-thinking leadership and commitment to innovation,” emphasized Dr. Fahd Nawwab, Vice President, SAP KSA. “By leveraging the power of SAP S/4HANA on Google Cloud, Herfy will gain unmatched agility, resilience, and intelligence in its business operations, ensuring long-term growth and market leadership,” he added.
