FireBull AB, a next-generation fluorine-free firefighting foam developed by Enforcer One and distributed in the region by Frontline Innovations, has been officially certified to the NTA 8133 lithium-ion battery fire standard, making it the first and only foam product globally to meet this demanding benchmark.
Through independent testing, FireBull AB was proven to extinguish lithium-ion battery fires within 16 to 20 seconds, with no reignition for over 20 minutes – a major leap forward in safety for sectors including EV infrastructure, battery logistics, energy storage, warehousing, and marine operations.
“This certification confirms that lithium-ion battery fires can now be suppressed safely, rapidly, and without environmental compromise and sets a new global standard for safety, compliance, and environmental responsibility,” explained John Kneller, Director Frontline Innovations.
Fluorine-free firefighting foam
FireBull AB is the only fluorine-free firefighting foam approved by the UAE Civil Defence and is completely PFAS/PFOS-free, eliminating harmful fluorinated chemicals linked to global environmental litigation and ESG liabilities.
For Rapid response, it can be deployed through Enforcer One’s portable CAFS units, including the Enforcer Air 3, a compact personal system that can be worn on the back or carried by hand. For larger mobile applications, the Enforcer 10, 30, and 60 systems can be mounted on vehicles, trucks or ATVs -making FireBull AB an ideal solution for remote sites, forecourts, and dynamic industrial environments where seconds count.
With lithium-ion battery fires increasing in frequency and severity, the certification has direct implications for insurance risk evaluation, regulatory compliance, and legal liability.
Frontline Innovations encourages all operators handling or storing lithium-ion batteries to assess their current fire suppression infrastructure in light of this new benchmark.
