Pioneers ESG reporting by Environmental Finance

Emirates NBD has been recognised for impactful ESG reporting at the Sustainable Investment Awards 2026 by Environmental Finance, according to a press statement.
The recognition showcases the bank’s milestone achievement as the first financial institution globally to publish a standalone report in 2025 aligned with the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) S1 and S2, alongside the International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB) framework.
Emirates NBD has further strengthened its sustainability reporting by expanding its Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) disclosures in line with globally recognised frameworks, including ISSB, the Taskforce on Nature-related Financial Disclosures (TNFD), and the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI).
Net zero transition plan
The bank has also introduced its first Net Zero Transition Plan aligned with Transition Plan Taskforce guidance. Together, these initiatives reinforce Emirates NBD’s pivotal role as a global leader in sustainability by driving global towards a sustainable economy, the bank continues to balance climate ambition with economic progress and long-term social impact.
