R Med Medical Supplies’ SterixGate is a unique disinfecting gate
Abu Dhabi, UAE-based ‘R Med Medical Supplies’, has announced that it has recently registered as intellectual property its SterixGate product, a unique disinfecting gate to combat the accelerating pandemic, and stop the spread of the virus in public areas and high footfall destinations.
“We are pleased to obtain an international IP-certificate for the SterixGate device through which we aim to prevent and control the spread of Covid-19 without any negative effects or harm to users,” remarked Waleed Al Aryan the company’s Managing Director.
Al Aryan explained that SterixGate is a ‘one stop shop’ disinfecting gate. It is different from all other disinfecting gates that simply disperse disinfectants on people.
SterixGate relies on an Android based tablet, equipped with a thermometer camera, that takes readings of every single individual who passes through the gate, and makes sure to alert the authorities in case it detects a person with an abnormally high fever level.
An automated hand sanitizing dispenser is placed at the entry point to ensure that whoever goes through the gate has clean hands. Once these two steps are complete, and individual proceeds further through the silicon curtain, right into the fogging zone, where they are being disinfected, and are gotten rid of 99.9% of known bacteria and viruses.
Dr. Sandjar Muminov an international IP-expert observed that during the substantive examination of IP-application it was detected that SterixGate uses a self-developed reconstructed liquid, manufactured in the UAE that does neither impact the skin nor respiratory system.
