Over 1.3mn tons of cargo handled; major milestones in trade logistics attained

GT USA, a subsidiary of Gulftainer has marked 10 years of powering global trade and assisting space industry logistics from Port Canaveral.
Since the opening of its Canaveral Cargo Terminal (CCT) in 2015, GT USA has become a cornerstone of Central Florida’s economic and industrial expansion, moving over 1.35mn tons of cargo, forging vital international trade routes, and supporting America’s space economy.
GT USA’s Canaveral Cargo Terminal (CCT) continues to redefine industry standards of how a modern cargo terminal should operate and serve its clients, while strengthening Florida’s connection to global markets.
As a strategic American terminal for Gulftainer, the world’s largest privately owned port management company, CCT also plays a critical role in military logistics and the rapidly evolving commercial space sector.
Strategic investment
“GT USA’s journey has demonstrated the power of strategic investment, local partnerships, and global vision. We’re not just moving cargo, we’re moving industries forward, from space exploration to global trade. The next decade holds even greater promise, and we’re ready,” affirmed Farid Belbouab, Group CEO, Gulftainer.
GT USA’s reach extends across oceans, with vessels arriving from Europe, Central and South America, the Caribbean, and West Africa. Partnering with respected lines like Seatrade, Ultrabulk, Schuyler Lines Navigation Co., GT USA has enabled the movement of refrigerated goods, military supplies, specialty cargo, and sustainable lumber from ports all around the world.
New space economy
Since partnering with SpaceX in 2015, GT USA has become a key logistics partner for Florida’s booming space industry. The terminal has assisted with offloading over 8,100 tons of recovered space materials.
Growth through infrastructure
The company constructed two covered storage facilities (17,000sqft) prior to initiating a major warehouse development project. Since then, five bonded warehouses have been added, with a further four set for completion by mid-June 2025.
