Chourbaji will be responsible for leading and executing Qualcomm’s strategy across the region

Qualcomm Incorporated has announced the appointment of Wassim Chourbaji as senior vice president and president of Qualcomm Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA). Chourbaji’s appointment is effective immediately.
Chourbaji will be responsible for leading and executing Qualcomm’s strategy across the region and advancing the company’s strategic priorities across businesses.
Chourbaji has been with Qualcomm for more than 20 years and has held a variety of leadership positions across the company. Most recently, he served as President of Qualcomm Middle East and Africa (MEA) and led Qualcomm’s government affairs organization across EMEA.
Enrico Salvatori, who has led Qualcomm’s EMEA business for more than two decades, has decided to retire from Qualcomm in June 2027 after 25 years with the company. Effective immediately, Salvatori will assume the role of Chairman and will continue to lead the EMEA Automotive business until his retirement.
“EMEA is an important region for Qualcomm, and we remain committed to investing in its long-term growth and success, under Wassim’s leadership experience, strategic vision and ability,” said Akash Palkhiwala, Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer, Qualcomm Incorporated.
