Ecofriendly e-Trucks support UAE oil and gas clients reduce carbon emissions
Aramex has launched its first commercial fleet of electric trucks in the UAE, targeting a greener future for logistics in the oil and gas industry. In collaboration with UAE-based Admiral Mobility, Aramex deployed eight-ton Farizon electric trucks powered by a 162kwh battery, certified for operations in both the UAE and KSA.
This initiative is part of Aramex’s strategy to deliver sustainable logistics solutions, reducing industrial supply chain environmental impacts. The electric trucks will support Aramex’s oil and gas clients with efficient, eco-friendly transportation, aligning with the company’s goals of achieving carbon neutrality by 2030 and net-zero emissions by 2050.
“Our partnership with Admiral Mobility advances our ambitions for efficiency and environmental responsibility,” stressed Tarek Abuyaghi, General Manager UAE, Aramex.
Sustainable logistics
“Working with Aramex on sustainable logistics is an exciting journey. These electric trucks are a significant step in helping Aramex transition its fleet to electric vehicles,” commented Graham Bremer, General Manager, Admiral Mobility.
This deployment is a key part of Aramex’s broader sustainability initiatives, which include energy-efficient technologies, renewable energy investments, and sustainable packaging.
It complements the recent introduction of e-bikes and electric vans for last-mile delivery in the UAE. Aramex aims to convert 98% of its fleet to electric by 2030, consistently prioritizing sustainable growth through innovative solutions and energy-efficient technologies across its global network, a press release concluded.
