The 10th edition of the four-day Al Dhaid Date Festival, organised by the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI), opened to a vibrant start on 23 July 2026 at the Expo Al Dhaid.
Marking a decade since its inception, this year’s festival features extensive participation from leading palm farmers and date producers from across the UAE, alongside government entities, agricultural companies and home-based businesses.
The festival was inaugurated by HE Abdallah Sultan Al Owais, Chairman SCCI, in the presence of Sheikh Ahmed Bin Abdullah Bin Salem Al Qasimi; HE Dr. Mohammed Salman Al Hammadi, Assistant Undersecretary for the Food Diversity Sector at the Ministry of Climate Change and Environment, and several members of SCCI’s Board of Directors.

Also in attendance were HE Mohammad Ahmed Amin Al Awadi, Director-General of SCCI; Mohammad Musabah Al Tunaiji, General Coordinator of Al Dhaid Date Festival; Khalil Al Mansouri, Director of Government Relations at SCCI; along with municipal council heads from Sharjah’s Central and Eastern regions, senior officials, and representatives from participating government entities and agricultural companies.
