UAE cargo carrier now operates freight services to 17 African countries

The new route extends SolitAir’s African network to 21 destinations across 17 countries, providing coverage to over 30 percent of the continent’s countries.
The addition of Ghana cements the carrier’s presence in Western Africa, following SolitAir’s recent commencement of services to Nigeria, while reinforcing the carrier’s role as a connector between the UAE and some of the continent’s fastest growing but historically underserved markets.
Connection
The new 6,250kms connection between Accra and Al Maktoum International Airport (DWC), the home base of SolitAir, boosts capacity in a route that is dominated by Ghana’s main exports of gold, foodstuff and perishables.
“This route will seamlessly connect Middle Eastern logistics networks with West Africa’s thriving export market for agricultural and valuable goods, while fulfilling the region’s increasing demand for inbound global imports,” asserted Hamdi Osman, Founder and CEO, SolitAir.
