Prepares to move to a new 3,000-student campus and focus on AI & Technology
The University of Stirling Ras Al Khaimah (RAK) is entering a new phase of expansion as it prepares to move to a larger, state-of-the-art campus in the centre of RAK, with capacity for approximately 3,000 students.
The campus is owned and operated by Planet One, founded, owned and chaired by Sanjeev Mansotra, who will also serve as Vice Chair of the Board.
HE Dr. Tayeb Kamali will support this phase of growth as Chairman of the Board of the University, bringing more than 35 years of leadership experience across higher education and the public sector. Notably, Dr. Kamali previously served as Vice Chancellor of the Higher Colleges of Technology.
Strategic direction
As Chairman, Dr. Kamali will partner with the board members to help steer the university’s long-term strategic direction, deliver governance oversight, recommend academic programs, and foster connections between the campus and industry partners.
Set to be operational in Q1-2027, the new campus will feature expanded academic spaces, modern teaching areas, and specialized laboratory facilities with a sharp focus on artificial intelligence, data science, technology, and other future-facing disciplines.
Education initiatives
