HE Sheikh Mohammed Bin Abdullah Bin Mohammed Al Thani, Qatari Transport Minister officially opened the first edition of Seatrade Maritime Qatar.
In his keynote speech to more than 350 distinguished industry attendees, His Excellency said “This event embodies the deep commitment of the State of Qatar to enhance the future of the maritime industry, and to keep pace with the latest technical and innovative trends that push this industry towards new horizons,” speaking on the occasion.
Also taking part in the opening ceremony of the two-day event was the IMO Secretary-General, Arsenio Dominguez; Seatrade Maritime Group Director, Chris Morley and Captain Abdulla Mohammed Al-Khanji, CEO, Mwani Qatar.
Driving growth
“For us, driving growth in Qatar’s maritime and logistics sectors through our capabilities both in this event and throughout the year in our online news and content platforms is long overdue and we’re delighted to be starting this journey today,” noted Morley.
Also present at the opening ceremony were HE Sheikh Mohammed Bin Hamad Bin Faisal Al Thani, CEO, Qatar Free Zones Authority; Fahad Bin Saad Al-Qahtani, Group CEO, Milaha and Neville Bissett, Group CEO, QTerminals.

Intermodal logistics
